NVD Studio is a full service landscape architecture and urban design practice located in Pasadena, CA. Our firm has worked on a wide scale of project types, but our body of work focuses on sustainability and place making. We approach projects through a contextual perspective with rigor, intuition, and rationality by investigating site, program, and project intent. We address every project holistically, regardless of size, by utilizing our diverse staff resources and emphasizing the fundamental significance of the design of a place and its relationship to the larger environment. Through this experienced team approach, we are able to investigate solutions that are artful, responsible, socially relevant, scientifically sound and technologically innovative.

Nicholas Vular, RLA

Managing Principal

Nick Vular brings over twenty years of experience in landscape architecture, planning, and urban design projects. His expertise in coordinating complex construction projects has included a variety of project types such as public streetscape and civic projects, institutional and medical facilities, parks, urban open space, multi-family housing, retail, as well as commercial and hotel resort projects. Nick enjoys the collaboration and coordination in successfully executing design. His attention to detail and creative solutions bring technical thoughtfulness to the design process.
